Was Muhammad
gentile?
Excerpts has been taken from the book “Quran A Reformist
Translation” translated and annotated by Edip Yuksel, Layth Saleh al-Shaiban,
Martha Schulte-Nafeh…
The reason for this article is to guide the believers and
make them aware of the pitfalls of this translation…
In Prelog ‘Was Muhammad Illiterate?’ Edip says ‘The Arabic
word “ummy” describes people who are not Jewish or Christians.’
This is however totally incorrect see the evidence below;
Dr. Rashad Khalifa the messenger of the covenant has
correctly translated “ummy” or “gentiles” as people who had not received the
scripture in the following verse;.
[3:20] If they
argue with you, then say, "I have simply submitted myself to GOD; I and those
who follow me." You shall proclaim to those who received the scripture, as well
as those who did not (ommiyyeena), "Would you submit?" If they submit, then they
have been guided, but if they turn away, your sole mission is to deliver this
message. GOD is Seer of all people.
Edip Yuksel translation of the verse (3:20);
[3:20]If they debate with you, then say, “I have peacefully
surrendered myself to God, as well as those who follow me.” In addition, say to
those who were given the book and the Gentiles: “Have you peacefully
surrendered?” If they have peacefully surrendered then they are guided; but if
they turn away, then you are only to deliver. God is watcher over the servants.
Now according to “Quran A Reformist Translation”, Gentiles
or “ommiyyeena” means not Jewish or Christians, so if we change the word
“Gentiles” above in this translation of (3:20) the verse appears like this;
[3:20] If they
debate with you, then say, “I have peacefully surrendered myself to God, as well
as those who follow me.” In addition, say to those who were given the book and
not Jews or Christians: “Have you peacefully surrendered?” If they have
peacefully surrendered then they are guided; but if they turn away, then you are
only to deliver. God is watcher over the servants.
As you can see the interpretation of Gentiles in (3:20)
above by Edip sticks out as sore thumb.
Generally speaking if the sentence does not make sense then that sentence
is wrong. And in the instance above
it does not make sense, because the object of this sentence is “who was given
the book” and “who was not”. This meaning of Gentiles by Edip will be proven to
be wrong when you proceed further with more proofs.
Also
[2:78] Among
them are gentiles who do did not know (receive) the scripture. They hear of it
only through hearsay, and then assume that they know it.
The word “receive” is coded in this verse. The Arabic for
“receive” is
tusallim gv 530. 530 + 78
= 608 = 32 x 19. Position is 2 “Command used in various situations, indeed the
usage of miracle of 19 in particular point 4 of (74:31) is the fulfilment of
command which has been used in this particular situation. Level is 3 “Include
missing information”, indeed this code has included missing information which
has clarified this verse.
Indeed (2:78) is definition of gentile “people” who have
not received the scripture and it is not what Edip has translated as. Indeed now
(2:78) and (3:20) match in defining the word gentiles.
Next Edip and Dr Khalifa interpreted (7:158) and the word
gentile applying to Muhammad.
However if you think about it the Torah and Gospel was already revealed to the
people among whom Muhammad lived, thus the scriptures were already revealed.
Thus Muhammad was among those who in majority were not gentiles.
In fact if you read the preceding verses to (7:155-157) it
is obvious that (7:155) is addressing Moses and (7:156-158) are continuation of
the same address. You will also notice a very important point which is that this
verse (7:157) is talking about the messenger who was mentioned in Torah and
Gospel who was gentile. As you know
Muhammad is not mentioned in either Torah or Gospel.
The messenger mentioned in both Torah and the Gospel who also received
the scripture who was previously gentile is Moses.
[7:157] "(4)
follow the messenger, the gentile prophet (Moses), whom they find written in
their Torah and Gospel. He exhorts them to be righteous, enjoins them from evil,
allows for them all good food, and prohibits that which is bad, and unloads the
burdens and the shackles imposed upon them. Those who believe in him, respect
him, support him, and follow the light that came with him are the successful
ones."
Indeed the sub context of these two verses in relation to
surrounding verses is addressing Moses…
And these two verses are not multiple of 19 when concatenated or added to
geometric value of Muhammad. Thus
eliminating, Muhammad as being gentile prophet in these verses.
(62:2) is another place where gentiles are mentioned to
whom a messenger was sent. Surely
this messenger could not have been Muhammad because his people were Christians
and Jews, thus this messenger could only be Moses.
Once again in (62:5) Torah is mentioned.
Thus the sub text here again is referring to Moses.
[62:2] He is
the One who sent to the gentiles a messenger from among them, to recite to them
His revelations, purify them, and teach them the scripture and wisdom. Before
this, they had gone far astray.
Also when we add (7:155 – 158) 155 + 156 + 157 + 158 = 626
and concatenate with the chapter and gv of Moses (116) we get complete multiple
of 19. 116 7 626 = 61454 x 19
(62:2) gv 116 of Moses 505 725 gv of Rashad Khalifa
116 62 2 = 6138 x 19…
505 725 62 2 = 26617138 x 19…
The above are the two messengers which are multiple of 19
in conjunction with (62:2). This
could be surprising because all books have been revealed when Rashad came, then
why there is a multiple… The simple
reason is that in US and most of the western world where Rashad made his mark
was not the people who had received the scripture first hand, however, in the
land where Muhammad was they were the people who did received the scripture
first hand. Another thing to notice
here is that Al-Muzzammil is not multiple with (62:2) why because Rashad
preceded him. And the west had
received a messenger already.
[62:2] He is
the One who sent to the gentiles a messenger from among them, to recite to them
His revelations, purify them, and teach them the scripture and wisdom. Before
this, they had gone far astray.
Was man evolved or
created by God?
In Edips post log called “No contradiction in Quran”, Edip
is implying that Humans were evolved from animals.
He has done so to bring Islam in line with science (answer 1).
This is partly true, because some Homo species did evolve,
however Adam was created from clay. These than merged, into one specie Homo
sapiens. However, Edip has not fully explained this fact. Please read the
following link for full understanding of this issue;

Translation of verse (11:52) by Edip in Reformist Translation of the Quran;
(11:52) “My people, seek forgiveness
from your Lord, then repent to Him; He
will send the sky to you abundantly, and He will increase might to your
might. So do not turn away as criminals.”
The above is just one
example of inaccurate English translation of Arabic, and there are many more
examples all over the Reformist translation.
What does this mean; He will send
the sky to you abundantly... How can one send sky abundantly??
It is true that a word is missing in this, verse that is why I (Al-Muzzammil),
has been shouting about it saying that the Miracle of 19 is essential to
interpret the Quran. The word “mtr”
rain in Arabic has got geometric value of 249. When this is concatenated with
two continued verses (11:51-52) we get complete multiple of 19, confirming the
fact that this missing word in (11:52) is rain.
51 52 249 = 271171 x 19, thus the correct translation becomes;
[11:51]
O my people, I do not ask you for any wage. My wage comes only from the
One who initiated me. Do you not understand? [11:52]
"O my people, seek forgiveness from your Lord, then repent to Him. He
will then shower you with (rain) from the sky, and augment your strength. Do not
turn back into transgressors."
I think it is advisable for anyone
trying to investigate Islam by reading the Quran to compare and verify different
translations of the Quran and by using the Miracle of 19, where there is some
doubt in the translation of the verse of the Quran.
